HRZZ approves the postdoctoral project of Maykoll Reyes Hung

The Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) approved the postdoctoral research project of Maykoll Anthonny Reyes Hung, “Collinear Approximation of Photon Interactions in a Consistent Lorentz-Violating Extension”, within the call PDIP-2026 (Postdoctoral Research Projects). The results of the call were published on 1st of June 2026. The project will be carried out at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Rijeka, starting in mid-September 2026.

PDIP is a new HRZZ programme aimed at strengthening the independence and research excellence of postdoctoral researchers. It funds the salary of a senior assistant for two years, as well as the costs of research, equipment, dissemination, and open access publishing.

Maykoll Reyes Hung obtained his PhD in physics at the University of Zaragoza (Centro de Astropartículas y Física de Altas Energías, CAPA), where he worked on quantum gravity phenomenology, searching for possible departures from special relativity (Lorentz invariance violation and doubly special relativity) in the propagation of high-energy astroparticles, such as cosmic neutrinos and gamma rays.
