BridgeQG Workshop in Annecy

The BridgeQG Workshop “Bridging High-Energy Astrophysical Modelling and Lorentz Invariance Violation Studies” (website) took place from 4th to 6th of February 2026 at the Laboratoire d’Annecy de Physique des Particules (LAPP) in Annecy, France. The workshop was partly funded by the COST Action CA23130 BridgeQG. Filip Reščić and Tomislav Terzić were members of the Scientific Organising Committee.

The workshop brought together experts in astrophysical source modelling and experimentalists searching for signatures of quantum gravity. The goal was to strengthen cooperation between the two communities in distinguishing possible quantum gravity effects from conventional astrophysical processes.

Three members of our team gave talks:

  • Tomislav Terzić: “General talk on LIV and source intrinsic effects”
  • Jelena Strišković: “gLike for Lorentz invariance violation time-of-flight searches: A joint-likelihood framework and thesis case study on BL Lacertae”
  • Filip Reščić: “Phenomenology and Astrophysical Probes of Lorentz Invariance Violation and Doubly Special Relativity”
