On 1st of April 2026, Tomislav Terzić took over as Physics Coordinator of the CTAO-LST collaboration, which develops and operates the Large-Sized Telescopes (LST) that will be part of the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO). He previously served as the Deputy Physics Coordinator.
LST-1, the prototype located at the CTAO-North site on La Palma, has a 23 m mirror diameter and can repoint within 20 seconds, which makes it particularly suitable for observing transient sources such as gamma-ray bursts. The LST collaboration counts more than 300 scientists from 13 countries. The Physics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the research working groups within the collaboration.
